Frequently Asked QuestionsFAQ

I. About Our Services & Approach
What services do you offer?

I provide mental health therapy for teens, young adults, and parents. My services include individual therapy to address anxiety, stress, relationship challenges, life transitions, and academic pressures. I also offer parent coaching most commonly using SPACE and PCIT.

What issues can therapy help with?

I work with a wide range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, stress, and relationship struggles. If you’re dealing with executive functioning issues, school-related stress, or finding it hard to manage emotions, therapy can help you develop coping strategies and feel more in control. I also support teens and young adults with ADD/ADHD, behavioral issues, and self-esteem concerns. For parents, I offer guidance on managing family conflict, improving communication, and strengthening the parent-child relationship. Whether you’re navigating social pressures, peer relationships, or just trying to figure things out, we’ll work together to help you feel more balanced and confident.

What is your approach to therapy?

My approach is grounded in evidence-based practices and is tailored to each client’s unique needs. I focus on fostering resilience, self-compassion, and personal growth in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Can you work with clients in crisis?

I support many challenges; however, I am not equipped to handle crisis situations. If you are in immediate danger or need urgent care, please call 911 or contact your local crisis services (e.g., the Suicide Lifeline at 1-800-273-8255 or text 988 for crisis support).

II. Fees, Insurance & Payment Policies
What are your fees for therapy?

My standard fee for therapy is $260 for a 60-minute session. Payment is collected at the end of each session, with a valid credit card/FSA/HSA required on file.

What are your fees for Neuropsychological Testing/Assesment?

The standard fee for comprehensive psychological evaluations is $4,000. This includes an intake appointment, testing sessions, scoring and interpretation, and a comprehensive written report with feedback.

Billing is divided into three parts:

  • $500 after the initial intake appointment

  • $2,000 after the testing sessions are completed

  • $1,500 after the final evaluation report is delivered

A valid credit card, HSA, or FSA is required on file. Payment is processed at each stage of service.

Please note: In some cases, evaluations that require additional testing, school observations, or specialized reports may incur additional fees. These will be discussed and agreed upon prior to proceeding.

Do you accept insurance?

I am an out-of-network provider and do not bill insurance directly. However, I provide detailed superbills (itemized receipts) that include all necessary information for you to submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. Please check with your insurance provider regarding your out-of-network benefits.

Do you accept Medicaid/Medicare?

Unfortunately, I do not accept Medicaid or Medicare. It is important to note, that Medicaid does not commonly participate in out of network benefits.

What are your payment policies?
  • Credit Card on File: A valid credit card/FSA/HSA must be kept on file for seamless billing.
  • Payment Timing: Your card is charged at the end of each session, and a receipt is provided for your records.
What is your cancellation policy?

A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Late cancellations or no-shows may incur the full session fee. (For appointments on Mondays, please provide notice by the preceding Friday.)

III. Additional Information
What should I expect during my first session?

In our first session, we will discuss your current challenges, set therapy goals, and outline a roadmap for your treatment. This session is also a chance for you to ask questions and ensure that our approach is the right fit for your needs.

How many sessions do people typically need?

Every client is unique. Some may notice improvements within a few sessions, while others benefit from ongoing therapy. We’ll work together to determine the optimal frequency and duration based on your progress and goals.

How do I prepare for my therapy sessions?

Before your session, it can be helpful to reflect on your current challenges, set clear goals, and jot down any questions or topics you’d like to discuss. This preparation will help us have a productive and focused conversation.

Your Right to a Good Faith Estimate

If you are not using insurance or are paying out-of-pocket for services, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate that explains the cost of your care.

Under the No Surprises Act, health care providers are required to give you a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes services like therapy sessions, as well as any related costs. All costs are outlined in the informed consent process, so it is unlikely you will receive surprise billing from Meso Psychology.

  • You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your first scheduled session.
  • You can also request a Good Faith Estimate before scheduling a service.
  • If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the charges.
  • Be sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate for your records.
