Teens
I frequently work with teens navigating anxiety, depression, and the challenges of growing independence. Many of the teens I see struggle with social anxiety, OCD, phobias, or a strong need for control. Some have a history of trauma or experienced trauma earlier in childhood. I also work with teens with ADD/ADHD, helping them build executive functioning skills such as organization, time management, and emotional regulation.
My approach involves building trust and creating a safe space where teens feel comfortable exploring their thoughts and emotions. Through cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), exposure and response prevention (ERP), and emotional regulation work, I help teens develop coping skills and gain confidence.
Family involvement is tailored to each teen’s needs. For some teens, involving parents helps create a more supportive environment; for others, therapy focuses primarily on strengthening the teen’s individual skills and sense of control. My goal is to empower teens to understand their emotions, manage challenges effectively, and feel more confident navigating their world.
College Students & Young Adults
The transition into adulthood brings new freedoms and new pressures. Many college students find themselves juggling academic demands, social changes, and questions about identity and direction. It’s common to feel anxious, lonely, unmotivated, or unsure where to go next.
I work with college students and young adults who are navigating these shifts and want to feel more grounded and capable. Therapy often focuses on anxiety, depression, perfectionism, relationships, and the stress that can come with independence and uncertainty. Some students seek short-term support to manage a tough semester; others use therapy as a space to explore deeper patterns and build a stronger sense of self.
Together, we might:
-Build coping strategies for anxiety, sadness, or overwhelm
-Explore identity, self-esteem, or relationship challenges
-Develop tools for managing stress, motivation, and transitions
-Clarify personal values and goals for the future
For many young adults, therapy is about finding clarity learning how to navigate life’s changes with more confidence, purpose, and self-understanding.
